Victor's Blog about the Web, Security and Life

The web for me is a hobby where standards and best practices are daily bread. Security is a concern that everybody must be aware of its details for IT in general, and the web in particular, to be a safer place. My life, on the other hand, is that of a regular Lebanese citizen where politics and social issues are discussed on a daily basis. I hope you enjoy reading my blog and make sure to drop me a comment about any topic you find interesting.

Sometimes you take a break through the path of your life and you stand to look back performing a self-evaluation for what you've achieved and where you have succeeded or failed. This is what I did yesterday.

What grasps your attention is not what you have done but with and through who you've done it!!!
Throughout my life, I always believed that a powerful angel is somewhere watching me closely and encouraging me while taking some of what turned out to be crucial decisions. I always had this voice in my head guiding me where to go and where not to go, encouraging me through scary paths that I didn't know their ultimate destination before reaching there.

Now, during my break, I hear that voice again saying different words. I hear this lovely beautiful angel telling me that she cares for me, she loves me, and that she is proud of me. I hear her voice as I watch her beautiful face smiling towards my past, present and future. I see her magical care and endless love glowing through her eyes and smile.

She cares. She loves. She encourages. She is full of hope.

What will I call you?

An Angel? Mama? Mom? Teta? Marmoura?

May God give you beautiful days and give me the means and power to acknowledge and thank you for everything you've done for me and made of me.

Thank you Marmoura. No matter how hard I try to say it and no matter how many times I do, it is simply impossible to scratch the surface of my love and gratefullness for eveything you've done and sacrificed.

Your son!
